I still think it’d be cool to be able to control the pokemon in a 3D battle world. It wasn't the quickest thing to set up, but the end result is awesome: no more having to boot homebrew launcher, sdcafiine, and then Smash to get my mods going, I can just select one game and instantly be in my modded Smash, yet I can still choose the icon to the left of it and immediately boot into the official Smash for Wii U (so long as sdcafiine hasn't yet been booted after the Wii U had last been turned on, else it will also boot into the mod). That’d be awesome. I changed the meta data, icons, boot splash screens, and boot sound of this new haxachi channel with ftpiiU, and now I have 2 Smash icons, traditiona for Wii U, and one for my modpack, which I call Super Smash Bros.
I used the haxachi installer to install this new channel over one of the select DS games I had not yet used for such a purpose. From there I changed the directory the new haxachi channel was redirecting to, the new sdcafiine folder, though I still found that the title that the sdcafiine was immediately booting, did still need the autoboot.txt file int he original sdcafiine folder and not the new one I made. I found some altered Haxachi channels on gbatemp, where they instead redirect to separate homebrew apps, I created a separate SDcafiine directory in my apps folder (because I do use mods for other games beyond Smash, though Smash is the main game I mod). That would be amazing.Įdit: Nevermind, I was able to get this accomplished myself. But are we able to create forwarders for homebrew apps? I would love to just create a channel that appears as my Smash Bros Modpack (thereby leaving me with the standard Smash Bros for Wii U icon remaining separate), but when you launch that, what's really happening is that it's booting into the Homebrew launcher, and immediately booting this version of SDcafiine to then then boot into my modded Super Smash pack. Hmm, I very much like this, I'd like a tweak if at all possible, and you may not be the right person to ask. You do need a gamepad to set it all up though.
This also means you don't need a pro controller or gamepad to launch mods (unless you have more than one modpack). (ignore the music, I was listening to stuff to add to my game lol) In the end, combining the modded CBHC and SDCafiine can result in something like this:
You can install CBHC over your current Haxchi setup (as long as it currently works) or over your current CBHC setup without a problem. Use this guide for help with that: Įxcept that I recommend you use this modified CBHC (made by Flump) so that you can autoboot into SDCafiine.
I'm not gonna provide support on how to install Coldboot Haxchi (CBHC). If you combine this with Coldboot Haxchi, you can set it to autoboot SDCafiine, which results in booting the Wii U directly into modded Sm4sh. elf in sd:/wiiu/apps/sdcafiine/ and replace the old one.Ĭreate a new file named autoboot.txt in sd:/wiiu/apps/sdcafiine/ and in the file, write the title ID of the game you want to autoboot. This is nice if your Wii U is basically a Sm4sh machine like mine is. This means that right after loading SDCafiine, it can launch a game of your choice. I edited SDCafiine 1.4 to allow you to autoboot a game after launching SDCafiine.
